Recently, a "Malware Protection" program came up on my friend's computer, and he put the program in the recylce bin. Now, the recycle bin is gone and a program called "Malware Protection ... designed to protect" appears when you start the computer. The program mentions something about "Email-Worm Brontok". Also, a warning pops up in the bottom right corner, "Malware program has been detected. Click here to protect your computer". The computer has Malwarebytes installed, and when run in safe mode Malwarebytes will run but will not detect anything. When run in normal mode, Malwarebytes will open but will not be allowed to run long enough to perform a scan. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
