I have used MalWareBytes to remove a ransomware called "XP Security 2011" and have since read of the errors of my ways. I now have an XP O/S machine with no way to run any program (all prompt for the program to use to open them), It won't boot in anything but safemode (Basic only. All others fail w/ BSOD and reboot immediately). I have tried to run the EXEREGFIX.REG but it provides no relief at this stage. The only recovery vector I can see is to copy all user data to a USB drive in safemode but that seems to be time prohibitive. My question is this: Can some kind soul out there assist me in repairing my hijacked "shell" registry entries while I cannot run regedit.exe? (or any other exe for that matter)

Edit: Moved topic from Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs to the more appropriate forum, due to the lack of any malware logs present.. ~ Animal
