Guide for Recommended Literature, Courses, etc.

Straight to the point question. Does BC have a guide for recommended literature and courses to become either an expert hobbyist or certified professional? I'm aware of the certs and courses myself, but suppose it'd help to have a guide that's easy to read, straight to the point. Particularly when it comes to books, there are so many out there! Some are for beginners yet difficult to read still, and some expert books are too easy for some. I'd like to hear what you all think. If a guide is already here, somewhere, link it! :)

It's an interesting idea, though.

Any particular topics you're interested in? Computer science is a huge field and no single book can encompass every aspect of it.
