On the road for 3 weeks and this XP Recovery thing caught me by surprise. Needed to remove it or buy another laptop to complete my work. Searched the web and everytime I came upon something that seemed creditable, Bleeping Computers was the go to source. Been at this removal for lets say 10 hours and I'm still having issues with hidden stuff. Felt compelled to join this group as you are doing a good thing here and I may be able to contribute in appreciation for helping me to figure out that I wasn't the only one dealing with this problem and there is a solution.
Might I suggest we contact our credit card company and require them to create a gotcha account for these people that are subjecting everyone to this abuse. The malware creators and perpetrators need to be locked up for a very long time, with no computer like I was yesterday.

There is a self-help removal guide here, in case you didn't see it:

If you are still having problems, please don't hesitate to post about them in the Am I Infected? Forum. Please be sure to note what steps you have already taken and the precise nature of what is still happening.
