I followed the instructions on the hijack this prep and below is the file. I am very concerned that I can't seem to get rid of some unusual files in my msconfig startup and running processes. Unidentified items in msconfig. startup are Zeno is under C:\WINDOWS\system 32\pwinqsap.exe CORN001, Z_Start C:\WINDOWS\system32\dwdsregt.exe CORN001, Then under SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run are : 9339047 C:\PROGRA~\9339047\9339047.exe; sd "C:\PROGRA~1\AUTOST~1\sd.exe" --checkOnly; mhnn "C:\Program Files\Obla\mhnn.exe" -vt ndrv The mhnn is also in the task manager as a running process. I cannot find any of these listed in windows explorer or my registry.

Thank you for responding - better late than never right? For at least a week a new virus was appearing every day. I was downloading and using different programs as well as online scans because it seemed I could not get rid of them. Since then I have purchased Trend Micro PC Cillon and the spyware that goes with it and I have tossed NORTON FOREVER AND EVER!!!! I've been using it for years and it has caused me to have to restore many computers. Here is the most recent Hijack this log. Thanks!!!

I see that you have the Windows WMF Hotfix installed. Now that the patch is out, you may want to update the OS and uninstall the hotfix.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BrowserUpdateSched] C:\WINDOWS\system32\pwinqsap.exe CORN001
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [{92-28-89-9F-ZN}] C:\windows\system32\rpdsrego.exe CORN001
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Pxpgnux] C:\WINDOWS\system32\??stem32\ntvdm.exe

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pwinqsap.exe
C:\windows\system32\rpdsrego.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.
