Hello,
I have just installed secunia, and removed all end of use programs, and brought up to date all those that needed updating. and am left with symantec norton antivirus 2005... I cant find it in add remove to uninstall it. the path for it is...c:\ibmtools\apps\NORTONAV\NAV\EXTERNAL\NORTON\APP\NAVAPSVC.EXE can it be found and uninstalled safely. i am not very good with these and am a little bit wary of messing about in files and folders. if anyone can advise me on this it will be much appreciated. thanks Gunner

Obviously as extensions says it is norton anti virus component. Unless you are using norton as your active antivirus you should probably uninstall norton.

Norton Removal Tool

Use the Norton Removal Tool to remove a failed installation or a damaged Norton product. The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2003 and later products, Norton 360, and Norton SystemWorks 12.0 from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

Alternatively, you can try OPSWAT's AppRemover - supported applications list.
