ok so i just bought half life 2 for my new computer which comes with cs and other things, installed steam and the games, activated, updated but i cant run them! i click on the icons and it says preparing to launch game then screen blacks out and restarts the pc! with a "send error to windows" msg :thumbsup: i really dont know what to do..my pc can handle the game specs so why is it doing this? any help would be great

This probably isn't the cause, but have you updated your video card drivers?

Maybe its a compatability problem with the video card or something.

What was the error messabe it is sending? And where was it being sent?

i went to nvida site but i cant find any updates for my card..after it restarts it just says report error, i clicked no

Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory runs fine but just these games :/
