removeal fo virus xp total security

hi all,
the above topic is not allowing me to run any antispyware to get rid of it. went to windows solution and i tried to download several several of ms antispyware programs but the virus did not allow the programs to run. a computer savvy friend said rundll.exe is missing and that is the reason why i am not able to remove this virus. would someone please tell me how i can install rundll.exe so i can get rid of this virus? if anyone has had success at eliminating this troublesome virus please help. thanks all bob k
