I have run updated AVG and Malewarebytes scans to no avail
as well I tried to run Microsofts malicious software removal tool
it extracted but would not run
I also tried combofix ( I know I should not have but I am desperate )
it would not run as well
So lets start fresh from here please.

Hello and welcome. Please follow these guidelines while we work on your PC:
  • Malware removal is a sometimes lengthy and tedious process. Please stick with the thread until Iíve given you the ďAll clear.Ē Absence of symptoms does not mean your machine is clean!
  • Please do not run any scans or install/uninstall any applications without being directed to do so.
  • Please note that the forum is very busy and if I don't hear from you within five days this thread will be closed.
Posted Image DDS should have produced two logs - I need to see the DDS.txt log before I get started. Run DDS again if you need to and post the DDS.txt log, please.

Please include the following in your next post:
  • DDS.txt log

I'm glad you seem to have it sorted. If you would like me to tell you for sure if you have it cleaned, please post new DDS and GMER logs. If you're satisfied that you have it clean, let me know and I'll close the thread.

Regardless of how you want to proceed I just want to give you a quick word of caution about running advanced tools (ComboFix) and/or fixes (fixmbr) on your own. While in this case it seems to have all worked out you could have just as easily bricked your PC and lost all of your data.
