What’s a CMS you say? It stands for content managment system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_management_system

Do you have a website and you want an easy way to add new content to it or edit the content already there. Creating a new HTML page or editing your current one is a pain the behind. If this is you or you add content to your website often, consider using a php/mysql based CMS to help you manage your website. Most paid web hosting accounts these days come with php and mysql available. Why not take advantage of these features of your hosting account.

Here is huge list of free CMS products http://www.opensourcecms.com/ . It also allows you to test out, review and compare many of the CMS products out there. Most work very similar to how this forums software works, only displaying it in a different format. You log in with your web browser, type the content you want to add or edit just like you do here when making a post. Hit publish and the content is now available on your website.

It is an idea to look at if you are just starting out with making a website, or you’re an old pro that is constantly adding content to your site. It is also very convenient for groups that share the duties of adding new content to a site.
