posted about this a while back, everything was fine for a few weeks, but it went back to doing the same thing, its slow internet, when i press to open up an internet explorer, weather it is IE, FF, or Opera, anything takes soo long to open up, sometimes i even have to double click it about 4-5 times before it opens up. virus scan said nothing, please help me.

just now when i pressed to download DDS, it took 3 minutes to even open up. the whole computer froze up for 3 minutes :(

There doesn't seem to be much showing there and the symptoms seem to be system rather than malware.

Let's try a clean boot. This will boot the system without any services or startup programs and that will eliminate or pinpoint the main problem.

1. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.

2. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.

3. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.

A safe boot just stops non-critical files from loading and that in itself wouldn't erase anything.

Please read Microsoft's article here for more background on this procedure.

Check your browser add-ons. It might be that one of them is causing the problem. Try disabling half and eliminating until you find the one that slows the surfing.

Here's a good tutorial which covers it pretty well for Firefox

IE8 here

Looks likely that this is a system problem.

I recommend that you read this tutorial on the site which explains what you can do to speed up your PC.

Let me know how that goes.
