Hi.

Yesterday night, I opened up my idle laptop to find that the virus "Vista Security 2011" had installed itself on my computer. I followed the guide on this website to remove it. After scanning and restarting, the virus is gone. I was wondering how it got onto my computer in the first place, and if I'm still vulnerable to these viruses. I didn't download anything that day, and I wasn't on any risky websites. Now that I have the free version of MalwareBytes on my computer, is there anything else to worry about?

Please read How Malware Spreads - How did I get infected which explains the most common ways malware is contracted and spread.
