It takes up most of my cpu power. when i go under task manager by ctrl+alt+del then processes system idle processe takes up most of my system cpu when im not running a program that is, normally around 99%. I'm wondering if there is a way to get rid of it what is it and is it safe to get rid of. Because whenever I try to get rid of it it gives me an error message and syste mmechanic 6 wont let me do it either. Help.

System Idle Process is rather a misleading term. It is just a track of how little your cpu is being utilised; for example 90% means only 10% of your cpu is actually being utilised.
