Dear Fellow Members:
I am Jim RePass and I run a small foundation, the National Corridors Initiative (www.nationalcorridors.org), that advocates for investment in infrastructure, especially passenger rail which has been the most neglected mode. We were the group that convinced George Bush (I) to end his Administration's opposition to electrification of the Northeast Corridor between New Haven and Boston, and this project was completed in 1999, cutting NYC-Boston travel time to 3 and 1/2 hours.
I also write a column, New England Rising, for The Providence Journal.
I rely on my computer for my work, as many of us do, and hope to learn from you all.
