Hi there,
I just went through the process of the Preparation Guide for requesting help. I have the Windows Fix Disk coming up telling me "the system has detected a problem with one or more installed IDE/SATA hard disks" and then I have the option of purchasing something to "fix" it. All of my files were hidden until I ran the RKill as recommended. Then things still werent working and the rkill was shutting down saying "access denied". I realize from reading these forums that this is a virus. I just dont know how to get rid of it!! My files and programs all still appear to be hidden. I am not sure what else to do. I think I also have the thing where google directs me to other sites. For instance, it was very hard to get on this site as google wouldnt let me open it up many times at first.
I did post this problem on another forum first. I then found this site and went through all the recommendations to post this thread. I will not do anything recommended by any other forum and I will be waiting for answers to this post. Thank you for taking the time to look at this problem.
