Hi. as usual I have gone about this the wrong way round and come unstuck.
I am using xp professional and kaspersky 2010 anti virus. I got a warning from kaspersky that there was a problem
I should have taken more notice to what it said so i did a full computer scan to see what it was but about 95 percent
through the scan my computer went onto standby. I tried running just a c drive scan and this went through ok but never
found anything. So then I did another full scan in safe mode but the same thing happened it went onto standby before the
end of the scan.

Then I thought I would try to run spybot both in safe mode and normal but the same thing happened it switched off just before the end of the scan.

I then committed the ultimate sin ( I found out after I had done it)I ran combi fix in safe mode and normal, This time
it went right through ok but i dont think its done anything as i tried to scan with kaspersky again and again it went off. Mind it would help if it was in english not french. I cant speak french but from what combofix said at the start i dont think its very well at all"d`une machine severement infectee peut ficilement doubler" dont sound good does it!

I hope you can help as i am too old for a lot of technical stuff and there is never a child about when you need one.
Thanks david.
