I'm having a bit of hell with a redirect virus affecting my Google and Bing searches on Firefox 4. The search results lead through goingonearth.com to another random site instead of the site they are supposed to. As far as I can tell there are no other strange goings-on in my computer. I have run MalwareBytes, Spybot S&D and TDSSKiller in safe mode but all have returned clean. I have also run an Avast! Bootscan to no avail. I have also deleted a .job file that was in my \Windows\Tasks folder which seemed to fix it until a reboot. The name seemed randomised (just a load of block capital letters) and has not resurfaced, or had any adverse effect on my computer (it is, however, backed up in my Ubuntu Partition just in case). Flushing the DNS cache fixes temporarily until Firefox is restarted. SOmetimes it does not work though.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and my DDS logs are attached.

Edit: THere are also random site formatting issues.

This is a bump but just a request to have this locked. I have fixed the main problem myself using a trial version of HitmanPro (just in case anybody has similar issues)

It appears that this issue is resolved, therefore I am closing the topic. If that is not the case and you need or wish to continue with this topic, please send me or any Moderator a Personal Message (PM) that you would like this topic re-opened.
