how to reformat computer no cd

Hi my computer is old about 9 -10 years old slown very slow can't do much on it i just want to reformat the computer and start again and see if that makes it better not sure how.My problem is i brought the computer with windows xp home already installed on it so i have no disk?.

Then how are you going to install an OS? You need to purchase an OS cd.
