While using the uninstaller function of CCleaner to uninstall a game from his Vista OS laptop my son realised that the game installer disc was still in the drive during the uninstall. Now when he tries to reinstall the game from the disc he gets the game graphic on his screen but when he clicks on install it is like nothing happens. Is it possible that CCleaner has deleted anything from the disc?.

First, why would you use ccleaner to uninstall something? Why not use the OS's uninstall applet?

To answer your question, there's really no way to know what ccleaner did at this point. I'd suggest trying to reinstall the game from safe mode - let's see if that works. If not, try revo uninstaller to completely remove all remnants of the game and then try to reinstall (http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html)
