I am running XP Home on a gateway netbook.
I have the "Generic Win32 Host services has encountered a problem, needs to shutdown" pop up. Eventually internet stops working, sometimes sound card doesn't work, browser redirects. Everything is okay when restarting and then happens again eventually.

Running TDSS virus, even with it being renamed and changed extension to .com, it shows a similar error to the Win32. It works up to 80% and then it says "TDSSkiller has encountered a problem, needs to shutdown". Same thing when run in safe mode.

MBAM is showing clean results

And I realize that a lot of people are infected with a similar virus, but I can't follow the procedures posted elsewhere as my problem might be different.

So if someone can guide me, that would be great :)
