I have just taken delivery of a new (refurbished) laptop running Windows 7 (32 bit).

My father's PC is infected with a redirecting virus and I stupidly transferred some files from that PC to this laptop using a USB memory stick. I will reformat the HDD and reinstall Windows on my fathers PC but would appreciate assistance in removing the virus from this laptop.

I have run Malwarebytes antimalware. It found one problem - Malware.Trace and quarantined it but Google search results are still being redirected in Firefox.

I have Avira installed. A full scan found 10 hidden objects but reported no virus problems.
