do any of you out there know how to backup or save all your message rules in outlook express?
i have had a few problems with my PC recently and have had to reformat my hdd several times, it seems to be working properly now, but i would like to know how to back them up in case i have to reformat again.
i belong to heaps of forums and have heaps of message rules...i have been making text files of all the email addresses that make up each rule, but it is still very time consuming to re-enter all the email addresses into each rule all over again.
i have tried backing up the entire outlook express folder and all the outlook express files i could find and replaceing them after ive re-installed windows, but that doesnt work.

so my main question is "is there a specific file that i can backup that has all this information in it?"

I found 2 Microsoft KB articles with references to saving Outlook Express Data and rules. So I'm not sure you mean Outlook itself or Outlook Express.

Microsoft KB article #1

Microsoft KB article #2

I found one link referring to a Outlook backups tutorial. Outlook backup tutorial link here.
