My audio on my laptop is completely gone now. I checked audio device and the system says that it's working properly...even though it's not.

The volume is turned up, nothing is muted. Even when I put earphones in, it still has no sound at all. Could someone please help me with this? I don't know how to fix this. I reinstalled the audio driver, but there's still no audio. Could something have happened to the sound card or what? I really need to fix this as soon as possible. What can I do???

Can you give us a bit more info about your machine please.. i.e.. make/model and what OS you have.In Device Manager are there any yellow ! in the tree next to your sound/video and game controllers, if so let us know. Please check that audio is started and set to automatic in services,..>start > Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services... scroll down to Windows Audio and make sure that it is set to automatic.

I just lost my audio when I installed a new video card, I down loaded the latest driver and all was great again.
