I am going to run combofix. I don't know how to disable McAfee, AntiMalware and Spyware. Can you show me the steps? Thanks

Landzdown instructions for McAfee were: McAfee Security Center
- Common Tasks - clk HOME
- Computer Files
- Configure
*OFF(* virus protection
* spyware protection
* system guards
* script scanning

* NEVER* when to re-enable real time

- click OK

I can't even get into/find McAfee Security Center!
Thanks

I have turned off Firewall. Does this disable all the security programs?
I have been to the Disable spyware tutorial here but can't understand what to do.

Do NOT run ComboFix.

I will move your topic to the Am I Infected forum.

Thanks for your reply. I disabled Firewall and Real Time Scan through McAfee and ran Combofix. Everything worked fine and my computer is fixed. Thank you.

Combofix is a very dangerous tool, and I doubt you're clean.
