Hi. I have a computer which has one processor, but it is showing two that are identical. I uninstalled both and rebooted only to find both reappeared. How can I get rid of the phamtom processor from showing up in Device Manager. Using WINXP.

Thx

You probably have an Intel processor with hyper threading, if this is the case then device manager will show 2 processors instead of 1 and it's quite normal.

Chief.
