Started to see symptoms of something being amiss on Monday. I have tried to troubleshoot this myself with limited success. The most prevalent symptoms are google redirect, Xp Anti Virus 2011 (removed from malwarebytes), and continual Sys32 host file errors.

In an effort of full disclosure I have run MalwareBytes, CCleaner, Emsisoft, and Combofix (downloading of combofix is actually what led me to these forums).

I have followed the reccomended steps including disabling emulation, DDS, and GMER. All went well with the DDS scan, but the GMER scan completed but I was unable to save the file. Multiple error message said that it was unable to write file(s) to multiple locations. GMER either freezes or just closes at this point.

Any guidance or words of wisdom are appreciated and I will follow any course of action recommended. Thanks!
