Dell Dimension 3000 2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)

The Problem:
CPU usage is jumping to 100% and causing any downloads to freeze and not complete.
I cannot even download Windows Updates or online scanning programs.

What I have tried:
I ran Malwarebytes, Spybot, and Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus. I had to transfer these programs from another computer with a thumb drive and then couldnít update them so even though a few items were detected, I couldnít check for everything.
I ended up restoring the computer to its original state when purchased. With Dell you can do that by hitting CTRL and F11 at startup. After I did that and got it back up and running, it was still doing the same thing. I was finally able to do a Windows update by going to the task manager then closing it then opening again. It seemed like that kicked it in a little allowing it to download a little at a time. I was not able to update Microsoft Security Essentials.
I read somewhere that a dirty inside was causing someoneís computer to do this so I cleaning mine out. The heat sink was really dirty and I probably could clean it better, but I cleaned the fans and all the inside and it didnít help.
Itried to download DDS but it kept freezing and would never download. I got frustrated and tired of messing with this thing so I have to ask for help now.

Not sure what else it could be so I put Hijackthis on it and below is the log. If anyone can help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I don't have the pc at home anymore. It is my sisters and I was trying to fix it for her. She hooked it up at her house and got the same issues. I doubt much has changed on it, so if you see something obvious that stands out, I might be able to get to her this weekend and try it. Otherwise, I have a laptop I'm not using much that I am going to let her use for now.

Thank you.
