My Windows Vista Pc has been slow and acting very unstable and will not install any updates. It happened whe I was browsing and then a Windows Vista Security 2011 window popped saying my pc was infected by viruses and then it started scanning on it's own, would not let me log on to internet and took over my security center! It kept taking me to a site demanding I pay to have the viruses removed and asked for my credit card! So since this pc has no system recovery link I just performed system restore. Well, removed the pop ups and was able to go on the internet but, my pc has been running slow at everything! Takes 30 minutes for pc to start and load, another 12 minutes for internet to start up! What can I do? I did HiJackThis but, was afraid to delete! PLease help!

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
