I've given up on beating my malware and virus issues. I've been thinking about upgrading for awhile now anyway.
I took a Speccy snapshot of my system and have a few questions.

1. The Windows 7 upgrade disc I have was supposed to be for my Vista laptop, but I couldnt find it and they sent me a new one, so this copy and key have never been used. Is there a way I can check the key will be legal before I actually reformat?

2. My ram slots are full, can I remove a small one or two and replace it (them) with a bigger one?
I assume I would do this before the reformat. Is my CPU even worth it?

3. Does anyone know for sure about Itunes? My library is on my G drive (not being formatted), but there are a bunch of Itunes folders in the C drive, even though I installed the actual Itunes program on the F drive (not being formatted).

4. My F drive (100 g) is virtually empty. Should I make a copy of my C drive (40 g and only half full), in case I forget to back up anything? Then just delete the whole folder after a couple months if I don't need anything.
Keeping in mind the malware/virus issue.

Thanks for any thoughts, advice and help in advance.
Hmm...how do you add a file?

Please...heed the suggestions previously given to regarding patience at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic393182.html/page__view__findpost__p__2222762 .

<<I've given up on beating my malware and virus issues. I've been thinking about upgrading for awhile now anyway.>>

If that is true...please advise me via PM and I will close the malware log topic which was initiated 26 Apr...and reopen this topic.

This topic is now closed.
