My Canon BJC 1000,which is at least 4 years old, won't print anymore. I get a message saying the cartridge is colour and needs to be changed to black and white, but I've never used a colour cartridge, only black and white, and the printer has worked fine for years. I've gone into Properties to make sure the black and white radio button is selected, but this hasn't helped. Any suggestions? - other than buying a new printer

4+ years is not a bad life span for a printer! One thing you might try is the Canon website, see if they have any specific info regarding this issue.

Currently home chillin' with the fam and my two dogs!
