You guys fixed up my own laptop so nicely that my brother asked me to help with his.
It's a HP laptop running Vista Home Premium. Malwarebytes and Spybot cleaned up a lot, but there's still a Google redirect virus/thing lurking in the laptop. He's also constantly getting Internet Explorer script errors (he stopped using it and started using Mozilla but he's still getting them. I have screenshots if necessary...the websites noted in the script errors are all porn-ish in nature).
The laptop hasn't been used in about two weeks. When I turned it on today, AVG found two threats - nircmd.exe and qrh.exe - and moved them to the vault. We ran all virus and malware scans two weeks ago before turning off the laptop and nothing else was found.
Today's Malwarebytes scan found something but after removing it the laptop is still having both issues.
