I would like to know how I can add or subtract icons from the lower right hand portion of my status bar. This is the area where the Time/Date icon sits. What is the proper name for this group of icons?

I have a program which normally sits an icon here and I can right click this icon and this will bring up a full screen view of the program. (uTorrent)

Now this icon is not there and I must revert to a shortcut icon I have saved on my desktop to get a full view of the screen, and when I minimize the full screen no icon appears anywhere on my status line. The program continues to run but I must keep going back to my desktop shortcut to keep up with its progress.

How can I correct this?

Don't use utorrent, but the type of icon you're referring to are 'system tray' icons.

uTorrent --> preferences -> UI settings -> check "Always show tray icon" -> click Apply button.

if box is already checked, uncheck and click apply, then re-check and apply again.
