I was infected with XP Anti-Virus 2011 on my computer system with all the associated pop-ups. Instructions from Bleeping Computer.com were excellent and enabled me to clean out most of the virus. all the pop ups are gone - Thanks you. I now have my system back except for 1 thing. I cannot enable "automatic update". I have tried going in via the control panel and it shows it is turned on but it is not. I cannot go to the microsoft site to download the updates as it blocks me. Is there someway to get this last bug out of here that is blocking me from getting updates. I fear it will bite me in the end since I will be operating with an out-of-date system. All else seems fine as far as speed and access.

Thanks for any help

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
