Bleepingcomputer,

I've recently installed a Toshiba DVD drive on my computer. Windows Vista Premium Edition (my OS) has recognized this drive, found the drivers automatically, but it still does not read any DVD and/or CD. Every time I double click on the icon in my computer, it wants to format the DVD/CD. I cannot explore or open the media's content.

So far I have removed both upper and lower limits in my registry for this drive. In addition, I have also attempted to remove and reinstall the drivers from device manager and tried turning autorun on and off in regedit.

Please assist, as I am lost with options in how to troubleshoot this working drive!

Thanks in advance,

Rustysherm
