Defogger is not working.

I believe that my laptop has been infected with malware, rootkit, or a virus. I am using a Lenovo Y560 and running Windows 7 - 64 bit Home edition. After following the Preparation Guide before requesting help, I now seem to be stuck at the Defogger step. I believe I downloaded Defogger successfully. I ran the program, and after clicking the "disable" button, a window immediately appears atating, "finished," appears with an "ok" button. After clicking the "ok" button, nothing else happens. The computer does not reboot as stated in the Preparation Guide instructions. Is the defogger always supposed to offer to reboot the computer or is my computer infected? Thanks in advance.
