I have Windows XP. Internet Explorer Emergency Mode is on. E-virus continuosly pops up indicating that my computer maybe infected, identity theft is possible and that a malicious virus has possibly infected my computer. My browser works very inconsistently and with great difficulty. The warning box from E-virus is constantly on my computer screen and the pop-ups from E-virus occur often, especially when I try to utilize my browzer. Any advice? Please help. I've run avast and it indicates that nothing is infected.
