I am hoping you guys can give me an idiots 'how to' version of posting pic's/clip art in forums using a provided url link. I have never tried to do this before, and can't seem to figure out how to go about. I tried a couple of websites that provide the codes, but both times I have tried, when I use the preview button, all I see is the text containing the code. I do not frequent one of the typical social networking sites, and wondered if the process changes at all, or much between different sites.
If you can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Inserting An Image Within A Post

If you use the IMG link and insert it into the URL field, when posted you may see this

delete one [img] on each end so it looks like this

The information provided by Queen-Evie is relevant to this forum and other Invison Power based forums as well as other forums that use BBCode for posting. If you are on a forum that uses HTML commands for inserting images that will not work and you will need to ask the staff at that forum how they do things.

I am hoping that it is just my own idiocy, and not complications caused by the site, but still no success. This is the url as copied from the clip art site (and with my luck, it is going to work here, and you won't even see it).
