Hi

For the past week or so I keep getting a pop-up window on my desktop which just says " PSCONSV ! "
Should I be worried? PC seems to be working normally.

Hello friz and welcome to BC.

According to our Startup Programs (found at the top of this page) Psconsv.exe Allows connectivity between a PC and a Psion device. Access can be gained from the Desktop or Start -> Programs. This program would seem to be alerting you its running with a splash screen unless you are getting an error message you have not mentioned. It is not needed at startup and if you would like to disable it go to Start>Run and type in msconfig. Under the startup tab in the box that pops up just uncheck the line that mentions Psconsv.
