Infected with "MS Remove Tool" malware/scareware. Can't run any malware removal tools, can't backup data onto CD's, can't use Safe Mode or get into Congfig utility. There is balky access to the internet, and very slow. Can view files but can't back them up as writing to CD disabled. Very clever and nasty malware. Do not have original Windows XP disk or recovery disk(s) as did not come with Lenovo 3000 J 115 model desktop computer.
I was able to create a floppy boot disk (from bootdisk.com, thru this site), but can't get past the drive description page that describes CD-ROM and the floppy I have connected. Screen says to press any key to continue. . .but nothing happens. Tried this twice to no avail. I do not know what to do next with this thing. Please help!
