Hi,
This is my first time here. I searched for any mention of a virus that sends you to a different page after clicking on a link provided by a google search. (I am not redirected from any links on pages or when i click on saved links.) The link i am sent to usually is related to the content of the page i wanted to visit, but is an ad of some form. The first few times i did it, the tab had the word "jump". I have been using Chrome and not having the same problem when I was using FireFox. Sorry for not being better able to describe technical aspects, but I'm not very technically savvy. When doing a search for the virus, I found a thread here at BleepingComputer, with instructions to download ComboFix, but to only use it if asked to do so by a helper.
So I'm posting here, hoping that someone might be able to help. Thanks in advance.
