My PC was on all day for a scheduled automatic backup. When I got home, I noticed several things:

1-An MBAM error message saying There was an error and MBAM had to shut down. I clicked the blue link for details but all it said was "AppName: mbamgui.exe AppVer: ModName: mbamgui.exe
ModVer: Offset: 000106c7"
2-There was a different link for details that I couldn't copy and paste, but a note at the top said the details were inside a specific *.txt file a temp folder. But Explorer was messed up and there were no icons on the desktop that I would use to drill down to the folder. Doing alt-tab showed me two folders I had opened yesterday. Starting from one of those I navigated to the temp folder, but the file was gone.
3-I logged off and back on, and the normal Desktop returned. Also, another error message: "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware [OpenEvent] Failed to perform desired action. Code 2." Checked the Recycle Bin for aforementioned temp file but not there.
4-I tried going into Start menu/Programs and launching MBAM. The main screen came up fine. But I noticed the little icon that is usually in the System Tray, which shows website blocking, etc, was not there.

Any tips?
