Hi everyone,

If anyone has a the time and interest to help me with an infected laptop I would be really really grateful. I am new to the PC world so please be patient with me, I don"t know anything about how computers work and with my Mac I really didn't have these problems.

What I do know is that I am having problems with my Dell Studio 1558 Laptop.

The syustem:
Processor: Intel®Core i5
64-Bit operating System.
Windows7.

Security:
McAfee (this came with my laptop)
Malwarebytes' Anti_malware (I installed this after my first Trojan and viruses that intruded my computer.)

What I am having problems is:
1. I can not connect to the internet (Maybe because the computer is protecting itself?)
2. both security programs are blocked and basically no functional. McAfee will not scan the computer for viruses and Malwarebytes will scan but always finds nothing or maybe this is not real (who to trust is a reality).
3. I think I have a bogus program called Windows Defender but I am not sure what is real any longer.

What I have tried to do is use the suggestions posted on MetaFilter, posting from User Deezile
( http://www.metafilter.com/user/77879 )and the ComboFix link actually took to BleepingComputer.

Can anyone please help me with fixing my computer? Thank you so much for your patients, suggestions and time. All the best.
