the time and date setting on a Dell Inspiron 510m keeps need updating and goes back to 2004.Any help would be great

Thanks for the help Ill go on ebay and get one.never changed one but first time for everything.! ill let you know how it goes.

I wouldn't necessarily buy one on eBay...that just happened to be a link with a reference to the battery for your system :).

I'm not an eBay fan when it comes to purchasing computer parts, no particular reason other than that I have more faith in valid retailers of computer parts which I have used or which I have confidence in.
