Hi there,

So I have a lot of processes running, (91 on idle) which made me a bit concerned. Scrolling through the processes I saw a couple that caught my eye, namely stservice, wisptis, and powerreg (which I disabled but would still like to be gone)

How do I go about removing these?

Unless you're certain, your computer is infected, processes are better to be left alone.
However, some of them can be eliminated by disabling unnecessary startups.

Let's see what's running there.

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

Re-run Autoruns, click on "Logon" tab and UN-check following unnecessary startups:

+ "Adobe ARM"
+ "DellSupportCenter"
+ "HP Software Update"
+ "StartCCC"
+ "SunJavaUpdateSched"

Restart computer.

I'm sorry, I just opened this up again today and realized that I didn't actually press 'post' after writing my message. Sorry about that

I unchecked all of those that you suggested, and I still have quite a lot of processes running.

All other processes are needed.
Is the computer running fine?
