Basically I was chilling on the computer last night (family computer btw) and kept getting notifications from avast saying "trojan found" (this was basically every single link I clicked - clicking the facebook logo brought one up). So I thought I'd give it a scan. I set AVG and AVAST to full system scans. I got up this morning and these were the results:

Basically, my question is like avast infected? Surely AVG cannot miss over 1900 infected files. I mean, sure scanners miss certain things but surely avg isn't that bad?

Do you have AVG set to "scan for tracking cookies"? From what I can see, the 'infections' found by AVAST are Tracking Cookies.

This seems to be the problem. This post (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic390569.html) gives the example of exactly what I was experiencing.

Thanks for the help.
