You need to install all drivers, starting with the chipset driver.

Then I think your friend will have to help you with your problem. This forum doesn't provide support for illegally obtained software / OS's

The chipset in computers refers to a pair of integrated circuits that are called the Northbridge and the Southbridge.

If you wish to learn more you can use this link to go to Wikipedia.

Once you have all the drivers installed you may need to activate this copy of Windows. Do you have a proper product code for this version of Windows?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Did you have XP pro on your system before you used the copy?

If you did was the key used from yours or did you use a different key?

Did you have XP Home and did you use that product key for Pro?

What is the make and model of your computer? (I'm may be going somewhere with this info, depending on the answer)

Since OP has not responded to any inquiry re legality of O/S install...and 48 hours have gone by...I conclude that he is not interested in pursuing this topic.

A quote from forum rules (all available via link in my signature):

"No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences."

If OP has any questions, please send me a PM.
