Hello, I can't run sfc /scannow, when I try to add remove windows components I get errors. First installation for component fax could not be located. I ok it then setup was unable to open information file msmqocm.inf
And each time I replace the specified inf file form the net, another one comes missing.
Thanks .G

Hi razzer,

Under Windows XP your INF "store" is located at: C:\windows\inf ( this folder is hidden by default )

From what I'm gathering from your post, it seems you are trying to add Windows Components and also run the System File Checker. You will need to have your Windows XP CD handy for installing Windows Components and also for running the System File Checker.

Hope this helps,

Are you running XP Home or XP Pro?

Appears to me that Microsoft Message Queuing cannot run on XP Home.

still getting error when i open outlook ,, outlook requires outlook express 4.01 or greater to run, ect ect. run IE5setup. i found iesetup and won't run i have a newer version of windows or something.

Clean install...then properly update XP.

That will eliminate your O/S as the problem.
