Hi,
Not sure what I'm doing, or what day it is, but I've apparently joined this forum as a newbie, (I come from Cnet) so hello everybody, Happy times, New Year et al.
I don't have a profile yet, or know how to format myself, guess I'll do that later.

If you have a member name, you have a profile.
You can get to it by clicking on your member name right after "logged in as..." up at the top of the page, or going through "My Controls" and finding the box labelled "Personal Profile." At the bottom of your profile page are edit options:
1.Edit my Signature (the text or graphic that appears at the bottom of your post)
2. Avatar Options (the picture appearing on the left side of the posts)
3. Edit my Profile (the information that appears within your profile)

Doing nothing with your profile will not impede your ability to post or reply in the forums.

Welcome to BC!
Regards,
John
