OK!

Please print this out for reference during the fix.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing so please:

1. Click Start.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click OK.

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Task Manager. End task systime.exe.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all windows and browsers closed, place a check beside the following and fix:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://213.159.117.134/index.php
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://213.159.117.134/index.php

Boot into Safe Mode. To do this, tap the F8 button as your computer is restarting. This will bring up an Advanced Options

menu. choose Safe Mode and press Enter.

Once in Safe Mode, search for and delete the following file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\systime.exe

Clean out your temp files. Click Start>Run, type in cleanmgr. Let it scan. Place a check beside Temporary Files,

Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin.

Reboot Windows normally, and with only HijackThis running, scan and post the new log please.

Try deleting the shortcut off your desktop and reboot to see if it comes back.

Log looks clean, just waiting for a double check on it. Will let you know as soon as I can.

Hiya aky! Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you.... work and all

But... your log is CLEAN!

Good Work!

Some suggestions if I may....

Now that your system is clean, you should reset your System Restore point. To do this:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Performance tab, click File System, or press ALT+F.
3. On the Troubleshooting tab, put a check mark in the 'Turn Off System Restore' check box.
4. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
5. Repeat steps 1 - 3, this time clearing the box beside 'Turn Off System Restore'

Doing this will ensure a nice clean backup if you ever need it.

In addition to Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, I highly recommend downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard, and IE-SPYAD. Installing these three programs will greatly reduce your chance of reinfection. You can click on the links in my signature for them.

Other than that, keep your protection programs updated, and scan often!

Sorry, my mistake. Right click on "My Computer". Choose properties. Click on the System Restore Tab. Put a check in the box beside Turn off System Restore for all drives. Reboot your computer. Repeat the process only removing the check in the box. Reboot again.

Let me know if you have any other problems.
