Hi, I recently had problem with a virus or whatever named XP internet security 2011.. I managed to get rid of it once with roguekiller then ran a malwarebyte and superantispyware scan and though I got rid of it but it came back 3 times lol and now it back even stronger then before I can't use any programs I was able 2 use with the 3 previous infection. I can't even use roguekiller anymore... I need to get rid of this asap. Any help?

I have no USB key/stick
I have no second computer

I'm not really skilled with computer and english isn't my primary language

Lets see if we can get in this way.

Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking
How to start Windows 7 in Safe Mode

Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking
How to enter safe mode(XP/Vista)
Using the F8 Method
Restart your computer.
When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
Select the option for Safe Mode with Networking using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode

RKill....

Download and Run RKill
  • Please download RKill by Grinler from one of the 4 links below and save it to your desktop.

    Link 1
    Link 2
    Link 3
    Link 4

  • Before we begin, you should disable your anti-malware softwares you have installed so they do not interfere RKill running as some anti-malware softwares detect RKill as malicious. Please refer to this page if you are not sure how.
  • Double-click on Rkill on your desktop to run it. (If you are using Windows Vista, please right-click on it and select Run As Administrator)
  • A black screen will appear and then disappear. Please do not worry, that is normal. This means that the tool has been successfully executed.
  • If nothing happens or if the tool does not run, please let me know in your next reply

Do not reboot your computer after running rkill as the malware programs will start again. Or if rebooting is required run it again.

If you continue having problems running rkill.com, you can download iExplore.exe or eXplorer.exe, which are renamed copies of rkill.com, and try them instead.

See if you can Update and run malwarebyte and superantispyware

Okay so right now I'm still in safe mode. I tried to use Rkill but the virus kept getting in the way and Rkill closed after every attempt...

RK said something about a file not existing in a located in application data i think I couldn't read it fast enought because it keeps on closing then it gave me a log saying that RK was closed

I tried the renamed copies but they didn't work. Almost nothing is working on my computer I can't even acess regedit. I only manage to get on internet explorer by terminating the process that gives me all these fake alerts and stuff but everytime i try 2 run a program it shows up again

Can you run this. Please run this Symantec tool KillGodZilla then reboot and run MBAm etcetera.

This is a bit risky so I just want to warn you.

Your PC may fail to boot properly. We can still fix that but you will need to get to another computer then.

Omg, Virus won't even let me run the set up... There has to be something that can be done before trying anything because it won't let me run ANYTHING at all

Klaz,

I have spent 4 hours on this same task.

In my topic, My link I do say what I did to FINALLY get around this.

I would wait for the MOD to let you know this would be an okay step. RKILL did not work for me, and anything I tried to run was hijacked.

Well, I will try but I doubt this will work.. I mean, I can't even access properties or add remove programs or system restore or anything at all but I'll give it a try

I managed to bypass the damn virus and tried to run RKILL but it keeps getting terminated. Maybe it's because I didn't really bypass it lol but at least I managed to Open it this same same with malwarebyes... I'm currently running a malwarebyte scan but I know it won't get rid of it...

Good luck Klaz.

Once I was able to bypass the virus hijacking programs from running, things ran smoothly.

I still do need some help to ensure 100% of it is removed, and am waiting on that.
